WHO is Potts Production and what do we do

My life changed in November 2003 when I received orders to go to Yokota Air Base in Fussa, Japan. I developed a passion for photography, taking photos throughout the country.

When I returned to New York in 2004, I landed a job as a photographer with the pictures I took in Japan. Soon, I was training new hires with photography degrees. Once I realized that I alone was responsible for five figures of profit in one quarter, the decision was clear: that I could strike out on my own as a photographer.

My photography business Potts Productions has allowed me to shoot some fascinating and talented people, including Star Wars creator George Lucas, Prince, Janet Jackson and New York Giants players Michael Strahan and Eli Manning. I built my business at the hardest time in the economy—and the high gasoline prices I faced to drive to events didn’t help! My military experience had instilled the discipline and endurance to relentlessly pursue photography despite the obstacles.
